Well, it’s that time of year again…Valentines!  An excuse to buy sugary candy at the impulse section of the checkout, AND maybe that little bitty cupcake at the bakery across town because..why not.  In the words of Tom Haverford,  “Treat yo’ self!”

One way you can treat yourself is by NOT having to come up with a creative Valentines card this year.  Why?  Because I did all the hard work for you!  I made 4 funny (if I do say so myself) valentines cards that have eye puns.  So, of course the cards are the perfect size to put these cute af heart sunglasses on them.  You can get them in all different colors and combinations from Amazon, right in time for V-day. Okay, so let me tell you how you can make your own valentine cards like I did.

But first, check out this FREE valentine card template!

Supplies:

So this is how I made DIY Valentines Card.  First I printed the template on white cardstock (or regular printer paper will do, too) and cut out the 4 cards.  I made the corners round to add a little somefin somefin to the valentine.  This is when you would write your name or your child’s name in marker on the card.

Next, take your sunglasses and wrap them around your card.  Use a few strips of tape on the back of the sunglasses to the card, so the glasses stay put.

This is where you might want to add something else to your gift bag besides the glasses.  I added some valentine stickers.

Then, just cinch your plastic bag at the top, trying to be as neat as possible, and tie it with twine or valentine ribbon.

And there ya go!  You just made your DIY valentines card.  Repeat for however many treats you need to give out!
